The Role
The Senior FP&A and Accounting Manager, Asia reports to Sr Director of Finance, Asia.
This role will oversee Asia FP&A and Accounting teams and be responsible for leading
and scaling the people, processes, and systems that grow the insights and support that
finance provides to Asia business operations.
Responsibilities
- Be the Asia regional level FP&A lead in the ACV, CARR, and other key top-line metrics planning and forecasting for Asia businesses in connection with the annual planning and quarterly forecasting processes, including GM scorecards, product and market analytics, monthly service forecast reviews, service profitability analysis and service variable comp prep.
- Work with Sr. Director of Finance Asia to drive scalable and consistent processes to enable operational excellence in business planning, forecasting, reporting, and deep insights/analytics for Sales and Strategy
- Be the key contributor in Global FP&A BI initiatives, includes: Alteryx work flow expansion, working side by side with US FP&A BI lead to design and build key data structure in NetSuite and Databricks and deliver top 5 key business reports in Tableau in real-time by the end of FY24.
- Maintain and develop (as needed) technical accounting policy, procedures, and internal controls in accordance with US GAAP and SOX
- Quality review of the work of accounting supervisor an Sr. GL accounts in month-end, quarter-end and year-end accounting closes.
- Ensure quality, accurate and timely financial reporting for local statutory audits and direct and indirect tax filings.
- Develop and manage a team of 8 financial accountants and analysts located in Shanghai and Tokyo
Requirements
- 10+ years experience in an Sr. Accounting and FP&A role in multinational companies in SaaS sector.
- Master’s degree or equivalent in accounting, economics/finance-related majors
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and China GAAP
- Strong analytical skills combined with the ability to communicate clearly and succinctly in presentations to multiple levels in an organization.
- Strong project management & organizational skills
- Ability to travel outside of Singapore 25% of work days.
Must have
- System experience with Adaptive, Coupa, Performio, NetSuite, Salesforece.com and Alteryx
- US GAAP and Chinese GAAP
Nice to Have
- Lease Query, BlackLine, WorkDay and Concur finance and accounting systems experience.
