RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead a structural engineering team consisting of structural engineer, designers and draft persons to perform analysis/calculation and design drafting work
- Coordinating all structural design activities on the project and reviewing and approving all structural deliverables prior to release
- Supervises and provides design direction to subordinates
- Plans, develops, coordinates and reviews team’s work
- Prepare/Review structural design basis document
- Prepare/review structural analyses and design reports
- Prepare/review structural material specifications, fabrication specifications, Installation specifications
- Review key structural design drawings and MTO
- Communicates complex technical issues and recommends solutions to clients and upper management
- Prepares team estimates and work plan in accordance with project scope, schedule and budget, and manages implementation and performance accordingly. Estimates staffing needs and schedules and assigns work to meet schedule dates
- Review design documents of other disciplines, equipment manufacturers or subcontractors and prepare comments and recommendations

QUALIFICATIONS
- Experienced in modularized project, at least having 15 years of working experience on steel structural engineering design
- Thorough knowledge of industrial and regulatory standards (API, AISC, ISO, DNV, NORSOK, ABS, ASME, OSHA etc.) and design criteria in offshore structural engineering
- Thorough hands-on working knowledge of SACS, STAAD Pro, ANSYS etc. offshore structural analysis software
- A recognized degree in Civil Engineering with emphasis on structural engineering, from a accredited college or university
- Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in structural engineering, with at least 10 years in oil and gas industry, with at least 5 recent years in project lead role
- Be with valuable high-level exposure to detailed design, estimating, and construction site
- Understanding of the roles of other disciplines on the project and key information interfaces, including naval architecture, piping, mechanical equipment, E&I and process safety input
- Proficient in MS Office applications
