We’re looking for a Backend Developer (PHP) who will help us continue to build industry disruptive tech products and revolutionise the way our customers use technology.
You want to
- Design, build and maintain efficient backend features in PHP
- Develop complex SQL queries and stored procedures as required
- Set up load balancing and high availability for the entire structure
- Analyze reported bugs and issues, and be able to come up with sustainable solutions to complex problems
- Optimize application performance by improving and restructuring at the database and API level
- Introduce new technologies into the team based on fit and suitability to deliver a solution
- Guide junior team members, establish good coding standards within the team
- Generate comprehensive technical documentation
You have
- BS Computer Science degree or equivalent industry experience
- Previous working experience as a PHP Developer for 3-5 years
- Significant background in creating stored procedures and SQL scripts
- Significant background in creating APIs for several interfaces
- Proven SQL experience using PostgreSQL
- Linux server experience
- Knowledge of JavaScript and ReactJS framework is a plus
- Creative thinking backed by strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong teamwork, co-ordination, and planning, self-driven, and ability to work at pace in a dynamic organization.
