This advertisement is for a recruiting position for ICT Trainer cum AVA Executive.
If successfully selected, you will be seconded to a MOE Secondary School located in Jurong West.
Contract Period: From 8 Jan 2024 or date of issuance of Letter of Acceptance, whichever is later to 31 Oct 2024.
Personnel to be deployed at the following hours:
- Monday, Tues, and Thursday, when there is no other school event: 0730h to 1700h, with a 1-hour lunch break. Total working hours: 8.5 hours.
- Wednesday, Infocomm Club CCA training day: 0900h to 1830h, with a 1-hour lunch break. Total working hours: 8.5 hours
- Friday, when there is no other school event: 0730h to 1630h, with a 1-hour lunch break. Total working hours: 8 hours
o School has the right to decide the reporting time during school events.
o Personnel must complete the required daily working hours.
o Service is not required on Saturdays, Sundays, and gazetted public holidays, unless there is a school event.
The Services required are set out as follows:
School-Based ICT Curriculum Duties
To perform the duties of an ICT trainer:,
i. As a classroom co-teacher for ICT lessons,
ii. As a trainer of small groups students on skills relating to ICT.
Take note that those labelled with “Required” are critical technical skills that the candidate must have:
i. Required: Knowledge about iWorks apps, Google Workspace apps and Microsoft Office apps.
ii. Required: Photography,videography and media editing skills.
- To support the school-based ICT curriculum, as a classroom co teacher or trainer, to help build up baseline ICT resources and video tutorials.
Infocomm Club CCA Duties
- To support Infocomm Club CCA by training the students on how to use AV equipment, media editing (see the above requirements) etc.
Audio-Visual (AV) Duties
- To follow the work arrangements by ICT Manager or HOD/SH ICT, act as the AVA Executive for the school and provide AV technical support for teaching and learning purposes as well as school events, including but not limited to setup of projection, sound system and control room operation.
- To perform servicing for AV equipment and maintain usage and service records of such equipment and assist in the maintenance of all AV equipment.
Event Support Duties
- To be the photographer and videographer to capture school events.
- To edit, archive and update photo montages and videos for school.
- To setup AV equipment for school events.
The Personnel shall minimally have the following qualifications, experience and qualities:
Qualifications:
- A National Trade Certificate Grade II or equivalence in relevant discipline.
- Minimum 1 year of experience preferably working in ICT training, or school(s) and in AVA implementations.
- Good track record in AVA support and ICT skills training
Skills
- Good relevant technical knowledge in AVA, including but not limited to setup of sound system, projectors, and others.
- Good relevant technical knowledge in videography, including but not limited to video filming, video editing and sound editing.
- Good relevant technical knowledge in photography, including but not limited to photo taking, photo editing and basic graphic design.
- Having a good proficiency in English.
Experience
- Some prior experience as an ICT trainer or instructor with knowledge of working with youth is an added advantage.
