Managing Director, Asia Pacific

Overview: As the Managing Director, you will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and direction to ensure the overall success and growth of the electronic components business in the Asia Pacific region. You will be accountable for the efficient operation of all business functions and maintaining a strong market position.


Key Responsibilities:


1. Strategic Leadership:

  • Develop and communicate the company's vision, mission, and strategic objectives.
  • Formulate and execute comprehensive business plans to achieve short and long-term goals
  • Identify market trends, opportunities, and potential threats, adjusting strategies accordingly.
  • Maintain effective communication with headquarter

2. Financial Management:

  • Oversee budgeting, financial forecasting, and financial reporting to ensure the company's financial health.
  • Implement cost-effective measures and optimize financial performance such as profit, market share and return of investment capital.
  • Evaluate investment opportunities and make informed decisions to drive profitability.
  • Work with sales channels to deliver sales, profit, productivity and growth target.

3. Operational Excellence:

  • Streamline and optimize operational processes to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  • Implement best practices in supply chain management, production, and distribution.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, customer service and quality assurance.

4. Business Development:

  • Lead efforts to identify and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships, and customer segments.
  • Nurture and maintain relationships with key clients, suppliers, and stakeholders.
  • Drive initiatives to expand the company's market share and presence.

5. Innovation and Technology:

  • Stay abreast of technological advancements in electronic components and integrate relevant innovations into the company's product offerings.

6. Team Leadership:

  • Build and lead a high-performing executive team, providing guidance and support.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Develop and implement talent acquisition and retention strategies.
  • Build an organizational structure that fits our business company’s strategies and policies

7. Risk Management & Governance:

  • Identify potential risks and implement risk mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor industry and market changes, adjusting business strategies as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

Education and Experience:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field.
  2. Minimum of 18 years of relevant industry experience, with at least 10 years in management roles.
  3. Proven experience as a Managing Director or in a similar executive leadership role within the Japanese electronic components companies In depth understanding of Japanese business culture and practices.
  4. Strong understanding of electronic components, market dynamics, and industry trends.
  5. Adaptable to the unique challenges and expectations present in Japanese business environments and demonstrated ability to develop and execute successful business strategies.
  6. Excellent financial acumen and experience managing budgets.
  7. Demonstrated experience providing strategic leadership within Japanese corporate context and ability to align organizational goals with the specific nuances of the Japanese business environment.
  8. Experience in managing cross-cultural teams and fostering collaboration.
  9. Exceptional communication in both written and spoken Japanese and English as this critical role involves interaction with Japanese-speaking stakeholders.
