Job Description
This role is to provide essential support in scaling up models, optimizing processes, and facilitating technology transfer, with a specific focus on utilizing chemical and biological methods for effective decarbonisation.
Duties and Responsibilities
You will be instrumental in advancing the decarbonization initiatives from laboratory experimentation to pilot-scale operation. Your responsibilities will include:
- Designing and conducting experiments at the laboratory scale to refine various processes, materials, and products, aiming for optimal efficiency.
- Executing experiments for scaling up processes from laboratory-scale to actual operational scale.
- Identifying and addressing challenges associated with scaling up, ensuring a seamless transition and process integrity.
- Collecting and analysing data, preparing comprehensive reports, and delivering presentations that summarise research findings.
- Collaborating with team members to ensure the successful implementation of research projects within designated timelines and budgets.
- Maintaining accurate records of experimental protocols, data, and observations to ensure reproducibility and traceability of results.
Qualifications
- An undergraduate or graduate degree in Aquaculture, Chemistry, Biology, Material Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific field.
- Proven expertise in designing and conducting experiments and utilising analytical techniques and equipment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present technical information clearly and effectively.
- A collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively within a team.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- An understanding of laboratory safety protocols and regulations.
