OFS’s fund management business is engaged in building Quantitative Trading Strategies (Quant Fund) and Agri fundamental trading Strategies (Fundamental Fund). These combine our experience and insight in commodity/financial markets with our knowledge of derivatives and statistical and mathematical skills built over the years.
The quant fund team manages proprietary systematic trading strategies in global markets across all major asset classes (equities, fixed income, commodities, and currencies).
We are looking to hire a Data Engineer to support our ambitious growth plans.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Work closely with the business e.g. Traders, Quants and technology teams and assist in the gathering of business requirements.
· Skill and acumen to handle large amount of data with varying frequency and structure.
· Good at handling implementation of data pipelines, using ETL tools , ensuring data quality and persisting in efficient manner.
· Design solutions, implement them, and provide post implementation support.
· Work in an Agile and Scrum methodology: TDD, Test Driven Development, Automated Testing, Continuous Integration Automated Deployment, Pair/Peer reviews.
· Define objectives by analyzing user requirements; envisioning system features and functionality.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Bachelor degree or equivalent in computer science or a related field.
· Experience doing Test-Driven Development, functional testing and continuous integration.
· 4+ years of relevant Python, java, relational and No SQL database experience.
· Knowledge of Kafka, Spark, Airflow, Postgres DB.
· Python experience preferred. Experience in other OO languages be acceptable.
· Experience with relational database, preferred Postgres.
· Strong written and verbal communications required.
