RESPONSIBILITIES
To ensure all the systems in Media Playout systems/facilities are always operational 24x7 to allow all the necessary media transmission and delivery playout operations. To lead a team of engineers to conduct preventive, corrective maintenance, and necessary patching to ensure compliance to cyber security policy for all the media playout systems and infrastructure.
Job Responsibilities
- Manage a team of engineers to provide the maintenance and technical support services for Media Playout Facility for Linear TV & Radio.
- Ensure the team conduct periodic maintenance schedule and necessary patches to meet ISO policy, to meet targeted technical availability of supported TV & Radio systems.
- Capex budgetting and planning to refresh/upgrade systems for TV and Radio Playout.
- To provide the necessary setup and support required at Media Playout Facility for any live critical national or OB events.
- Ensure supported systems fully comply with all cyber security requirements.
- Establish a healthy team environment & culture with low attrition & high team member satisfaction.
- Career coaching and enablement to ensure consistent growth of direct reports.
- Keeping abreast of innovative technologies in Broadcast Engineering, Information Technologies and digital media and conduct POC trials if needed.
- To provide any other additional project management works as assigned.
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in the media industries or equivalent with 5-8 years of supervisory and management experience.
- Diploma or Degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering or Information Technology
- Strong analytical skills and structured thinking and effectively create recommendations, decision making, assess impact, compare solutions, solve problems, and achieve business and/or technical objectives.
- Demonstrated ability to provide technical guidance and mentorship to a team of engineers.
- Ability to assess technical risks and provide effective solutions.
- Experience in employing project management tools and methodologies for efficient execution.
- Ability to collaborate with other departments, to ensure alignment of engineering goals and users objectives.
- Able to build and manage high-performance engineering teams.
- Capacity to make informed and timely decisions, considering technical feasibility and business implications.
