As a Trainee Shipbroker, you will be exposed to the dynamic world of ship brokering and gain valuable experience in the maritime industry. You will assist senior shipbrokers in analyzing market conditions, sourcing new clients, and providing updates to existing clients. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in ship brokering while working with a reputable company in the industry.
Responsibilities
- Assist senior shipbrokers in analyzing market trends and conditions
- Source and develop new client relationships through networking and cold calling
- Provide regular updates to clients on industry developments and opportunities
- Support senior shipbrokers in negotiating and closing contracts
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client interactions and transactions
- Stay informed about industry news, regulations, and market changes
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth operations
- Degree in Maritime Studies, Business, or a related field
- Passion for the maritime industry and a strong interest in ship brokering
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with others
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Attention to detail and accuracy in handling data and documents
- Self-motivated and eager to learn
- Prior internship or work experience in the maritime industry is a plus
