Team Summary

The Client Incentive Operations (CIO) team manages incentive contracts with financial institutions and clients by assessing the appropriate accounting treatment, monitoring contract performance and making payouts as per contractual obligations.

What a Finance Manager does at Visa:

The Finance Manager, Client Incentive Operations, reports to the Senior Director and will serve as a key member of the Client Incentive Operations team.  This role will take a lead in the cluster and will partner closely with the Finance Business Partner to provide greater value to Sales and other stakeholders.

Contract Administration

  • Review of contractual obligations and commitments for complex incentive contracts and build such computations into the incentive computation system
  • Review of contractual payments in accordance with the terms of contracts
  • Provide guidance to stakeholders on complex deal structure
  • Act as an approver role for incentive adjustments and payments
  • Ensure compliance with Visa’s accounting policy, US GAAP and SOX controls and timely and accurate accounting and reporting
  • Champion the creation and maintenance of high standards of financial discipline and accountability within the geography
  • Responsible for assigned reports or deliverables.
  • Own performance metrics and drive efficiencies through automation and improvement of business processes

Business / Team Engagement

  • Effectively translate technical accounting treatment and financial analysis to stakeholders to ensure full understanding of contractual language
  • Partner closely with Finance Business Partners to provide support to all stakeholders in the cluster
  • Collaborate with Sales, Finance Business Partners, Client Contract Management, Legal and other stakeholders as needed on contract structuring
  • Foster a collaborative team environment and provide effective coaching and mentoring to more junior team members

Project Management

  • Drive process improvements and streamlining projects and initiatives
  • Spearhead ad hoc projects to further improve the overall performance of the team and processes

Client Incentives are a strategic leaver used to win and maintain Visa revenues.  They also form a material component of our Revenue and Balance Sheet.  Efficient and effective processes and systems are key to delivering this strategy and meeting our SEC reporting requirements. 

 

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
