Position
The Development Engineering team is looking for an individual who is eager to work in a modern DevOps environment with a broad set of technology and practices. Our development ecosystem consists of industry leading tools which streamline the feedback cycle and reduces friction. This individual will be part of a dynamic, collaborative team that requires a keen and diligent eye for analysis, problem solving and resiliency. Your role on the team will be to provide support for our development community and evolve the tooling involved.
Responsibilities
· Diagnose and remediate issues with development tools and related processes
· Improve visibility in application performance through modern open source monitoring tools
· Support dynamic Jenkins environment used to build, test and deploy software for all teams
· Work with development teams to setup and configure various application delivery aspects through ecosystem
· Manage underlying infrastructure supporting our development ecosystem on AWS
Qualifications
· Minimum 1 year of professional experience with DevOps tooling such as Jenkins, SonarQube, Git, and Artifactory
· Comfortable working on Linux systems
· Familiar with basic development concepts in Python, Java, NodeJS or .NET
· Automation mindset with scripting language experience
· Familiar with using AWS services including EC2, Cloudformation, IAM, Lambda, Batch, S3, ECS
Additional Skills and Experience
· Experience working with Docker containers and orchestrators like AWS ECS, Kubernetes or Swarm
· Fundamental understanding of security principals
· Development experience in Java, Python, NodeJS, Ruby or Golang
· Basic understanding of Linux systems administration
· Understanding of development testing principals
· Experience with application or system monitoring tools such as ELK, InfluxDB, CloudWatch, Prometheus, or Grafana
· Passionate about digging deep into technology to understand subtle nuances
