Your area of work:

Clearstream’s Securities Services division provides its clients with top-class solutions around securities settlement & custody as well as financing and data solutions. The Business Management team of Clearstream’s Securities Services business takes care of facilitating the growth of the business by driving key strategic initiatives as well as its Marketing activities while ensuring a high level of client centricity across the business. As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for turning great ideas into reality – you will be supporting product, industry or partnership initiatives from the start, support analysing their feasibility and planning their execution, with a focus on Asia.


Your responsibilities:

· As part of the Business Development team, it will be your task to identify, analyse, validate and structure business ideas at a very early stage and turn them into actionable implementation projects. This could be about partnerships, product ideas or industry initiatives.

· You will be responsible for conducting feasibility assessments and/or profitability analysis with the support of the stakeholders inside and outside of the Product organization.

· You might also need to create business cases and hence understand the revenue potential and the implementation cost of a given initative.

· You will be planning the execution of those ideas as well as the required capacity in an actionable project plan.

· In particular, your task will be to develop Business Strategies for the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region that align with the company’s vision and mission; propose business strategies to senior management, monitor trends and identify new market opportunities.

· You will Lead cooperation initiatives with APAC market infrastructures (e.g. Asian Central Securities Depositories) to secure Clearstream’s competitiveness in the region long-term, enhance product coverage and market access

· You will act as local representative in APAC and ensure that regional needs and trends are being adequately considered in global planning & developments and represent Clearstream in external industry forums & associations

· Your task will also be to enhance Clearstream’s visibility and brand recognition in the APAC region via thought leadership, representation at major industry conferences and partnership with industry associations

· While your focus will be on the APAC region, you might be supporting business development activities in other regions as well.


Your profile:

· You have completed your university degree in Economics or Business Administration, ideally with a focus on Product or Project Management

· You have at least 5 years of relevant professional experience in Business Development Project Management, ideally within the Capital Markets space.

· You have worked in the Asia-Pacific region or focused on business activities in this region for at least 2 years.

· Ideally, you have good understanding of the Global capital markets and the Securities Post-trade space.

· Your Business Development expertise is paired with strong analytical and communication skills.

· You are excited about working in a multi-cultural team with a high result orientation and a hands-on mentality.

· Proficiency in English, French/German are required.

· Your profile is rounded off by very good MS Office application knowledge.

· Possess technical exposure/ prior experience in custodian banking and/ or securities services.
