- Oversee the planning, issuance, and follow-up on purchaser orders, delivery, and shipment schedules.
- Keep an eye on inventory levels and purchase needs (buy forecast/plan)
- Assess suppliers' performance in accordance with the organization's standards
- Establishing and maintaining strong, long-term relationships with suppliers
- Helping with audits pertaining to procurement
- Choosing suppliers based on their dependability, product quality, and cost-effectiveness
Requirements:
- 1 to 2 years of experience working as a buyer; a minimum of an O level
- 3 or more years in the ship supply industry or a similar field in the supply chain area
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities
- Excellent communication and negotiating skills with suppliers and internal customer
- Excel proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Familiarity with the MTS system is a plus.
