OEM Cooperation Manager

Lufthansa Technik is currently seeking a highly capable candidate for the position of OEM Cooperation Manager, based in either Singapore. The position falls within the Business Development and Strategy, Segment ACS (Aircraft Component Services) division of Lufthansa Technik .The ideal candidate will have a strong network within the aviation industry and a proven track record of successful partnership negotiations.


Responsibilities:

1. Identify Potential Partnerships:

  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential joint venture partners in the aviation industry.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the aviation sector, including key players, trends, and market dynamics.
  • Identify strategic opportunities for partnerships that align with our business objectives and growth strategy.
  • Develop and maintain a network of contacts within the aviation industry, including airlines, aircraft manufacturers, OEMs, maintenance providers, and other relevant stakeholders.


2. Partnership Development:

  • Initiate and manage partnership discussions with potential partners, including presenting business proposals, negotiating terms, and finalizing agreements.
  • Cooperation and license agreements for new business models of strategic cooperation and license models with OEMs, as well as downstream contracts (GTAs, PTAs, MROAs, distribution contracts, etc.) for Segment ACS involving the relevant departments with T/TN, TN, T/AC15 and T/AC14 negotiate independently and responsibly.
  • Create business plans and board papers to ensure timely conclusion of agreements.
  • Ensure and take responsibility for the Entry Into Service of cooperation and license models.
  • Responsible for change management, the necessary adjustments to IT systems and processes, as well as the production readiness of Segment ACS, including the associated capability development projects/programs.

3. Relationship & Performance Management:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for partners, building and maintaining strong relationships.
  • Monitor and evaluate partnership performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies to maximize value for Segment ACS.
  • Conduct regular partner meetings and performance reviews to ensure mutual objectives are being met.

4. Market Analysis and Reporting:

  • Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes to identify new partnership opportunities.
  • Provide regular reports on partnership activities, performance, and future prospects to senior management.

Your Profile

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Business, Aviation Management, or a related field. MBA preferred.
  • At least 5 - 7 years of professional experience in sales, program management or key account or cooperation management
  • Very good knowledge of managing complex programs/projects, designing, modelling and implementing corporate strategies
  • Very good knowledge of internal processes and relationships between Segment ACS and LHT
  • Good knowledge of business basics and relationships and very good knowledge of company regulations
  • Very good negotiating skills, assertiveness and very high persuasiveness
  • Ability to work in a team and strong ability to lead, instruct and motivate employees across regions, locations and organizations
  • Very high willingness to provide service and customer orientation, confident and agile demeanour / contact behaviour
  • Very high ability to deal with conflict, organizational skills and flexibility
  • Very good analytical skills and strong conceptual skills, ability to abstract, high level of creativity. Quick comprehension, objective and reliable judgement
  • Strong decision-making power and strong independence in making judgments
  • Very high sense of responsibility and a strong sense of initiative
  • Very high resilience and high intercultural competence
  • Clear verbal and written expression, business fluent English skills
  • Knowledge of an Asian Language or German is advantageous
  • Able to travel within Asia and to Germany
