Job Responsibilities
- Quickly establish a credible and effective working relationship with CEO,APAC and other members of the Global Executive Committee (GEC), regional leaders and their teams; gaining their confidence as a high calibre individual who will drive the strategic direction and potential future performance of a key driver for growth for Inchcape.
- Report on Digital Parts Platform (DPP) progress and performance to the GEC.
- Successfully support the ongoing growth and rollout of the Digital Parts Platform proposition across chosen international markets.
- Drive the financial performance (which will be owned within the markets) to meet Inchcape’s strategic ambition.
- Define strategic initiatives that will shape and drive the continuous improvement of the day-to-day operations of DPP, ensuring that operating targets and plans are met.
- Establish and maintain robust operational and financial performance management systems.
- Ensure brand and customer propositions align across all markets.
- Support a culture of customer-led (B2B and B2C) innovation and develop ongoing growth strategies for DPP and the Inchcape group.
- Identify, implement and leverage digital capabilities, data and analytics for stock management and omnichannel sales support and supply chain.
- Influence the performance of DPP across markets, without the authority of P&L ownership.
- Be a visible role model for all employees at all levels. Communicate and build relationships at all levels of the organisation from local leadership teams to the plc board, continuing to build on a no-politics, diverse culture.
Job Requirements
- Customer-focused with a track record of influencing and driving outstanding customer service (ideally, in both a B2B and B2C context).
- Leadership and management experience of establishing and scaling a new business venture or proposition internationally.
- A ‘digital first’ approach to business operation; experience managing or operating a ‘digital first’ business with a proven ability to guide, challenge and educate a wider organisation to operate in a similar way.
- A strong intellect and clarity of mind. At home with technical, commercial and operational complexity and with the ability to identify and manage key drivers of value for a business.
- Demonstrable success delivering value in a complex, international, multi-site organisation with the ability to develop an understanding of a low-margin, decentralised organisation in a cyclical industry.
- Superior leadership skills with a track record of developing followership. High levels of emotional intelligence, able to win hearts and minds and achieve results through influence rather than just position-power.
- Knowledge and experience of best practice and a track record of constantly looking for new ways of working and improving. He/she will bring a balance of strategic excellence against commercial/operational reality, with the analytical, creative and entrepreneurial abilities necessary for innovation.
- Experience of transforming a business through people, process and systems and creating a culture to deliver a more efficient and effective organisation.
- Financially literate with excellent commercial instincts and sound business judgement.
- A genuine interest in the automotive industry with a curiosity about the sector and how it is changing is important.
