- Involved in Endoscopy/ Gastroscopy procedures and assist with recovery centre when required.
- Work with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and surgical nurses to prepare patients for surgery
- Record vital signs, instruct patients on the details of the procedures and administer intravenous therapy and medication
- Transfer patients to the operating room, and may be asked to clean wounds, sterilize equipment and make sure patients' rooms are ready for their arrival
- Communicate with loved ones and inform them of patients' conditions
- Monitor patient’s vital signs, clean bandages and comfort patients when they wake up from anesthesia
- Administer tests, analyze lab results and report back to surgeons and doctors
- Track the progress of patients' conditions, and ensure patients receive adequate rest, food, fluids and nutrients
- Teach patients how to clean their bandages, take medication and care for themselves after discharged.
- Responsive to the surgical team’s request and work as a team to provide quality care for patient in the operating theatre
- Assist and support the surgical team in preparing for day-to-day operations
- Review & improve Patient Safety
- Maintain cleanliness of the procedure room and perform routine check on equipment to ensure they are in good working conditions
- Any other duties as and when assigned
Requirement
- At least Diploma in Nursing with at least 2 years relevant experience.
- Valid SNB certification.
