Job Summary
The individual is responsible for the development and performance of all sales activities in the regional team for IT maintenance sales. He will staff and direct a sales team, and provides leadership towards the achievement of maximum profitability in line with the company's mission and values. He will also establish plans and strategies to expand the customer base in the identified markets and contributes towards the growth of the company.
Job Responsibilities
- Develops a business plan and sales strategy for the market that ensures attainment of company sales goals and profitability
- Responsible for the performance and development of the sales team consisting of sales and product personnel
- Prepares action plans for effective search of sales leads and prospects
- Initiates and coordinates development of action plans to penetrate new markets
- Assists in the development and implementation of marketing plans as needed
- Conducts one-on-one periodic review with all Sales personnel to build more effective communications, to understand training and development needs, and to provide insight for the improvement of Sales personnel's sales and activity performance
- Provide timely report to the reporting manager regarding performance
- Provide timely, accurate, competitive pricing for deals pursuits that require approvals, while striving to maintain maximum profit margin
- Controls expenses to meet budget guidelines
- Adheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensures that they are communicated and implemented within the team
- Recruits and trains Sales Personnel based on established criteria
Job Requirements
- Degree in IT, Business Management or related field
- Minimum 10 years sales and business development experience in IT industry with at least 4 years in sales team management
- Minimum 3 years of Data Center Hardware experience and good knowledge of any 1 of the data center hardware (DellEMC, HPE, IBM, SUN, Cisco, NetApp, Brocade) from configuration to parts compatibility
- Experience with enterprise hardware and services solutions
- Experience with both channels and end-users’ organizations
- Strong leadership and team management skills to build and motivate high-performing teams
- Strong knowledge of commercial operations, analytical thinking and business acumen
- Demonstrate effective pipeline management
- Excellent relationship-building skills and the ability to influence customers
- Analytical problem-solving ability
- Ability to work well under pressure and within short deadlines
- Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements
