The role of the Cloud Service Architect is to define the tenant overlay network architecture to ensure resilience, security and performance of tenant services running in the Network Cloud. His/her main responsibility is also to assist Tenants to review and optimize the design of Cloud Native Functions (CNF) /Virtual Network Functions (VNF) and to ensure that overlay network defined are in compliance to the overarching overlay network architecture.
Make an Impact by:
Cloud Native Functions (CNF) /Virtual Network Functions (VNF) architecture and design
- Advice Tenants on feasibility to transition to VNFs/CNFs
- Participate in Tenant tender technical evaluation on Cloud readiness
- Provide professional advice and guidance to Tenants on VNF/CNF design and architecture
- Plan and coordinate interoperability testing between VNF/CNF & NFVI
Overlay Virtual Network architecture and design
- Architect the overlay virtual network design to ensure resilience, security and performance for Tenant Network Functions running in the Telco Cloud Infrastructure
- Advise and review Tenant overlay network designs during Network Function onboarding
Regular review of overlay network architecture and design to ensure optimal performance and security
Skills for Success:
- A good engineering or computing degree
- Knowledge on Virtualization, Cloud computing and OpenStack
- 5 years working experience on projects relating to VMware, OpenStack or other virtualization related technologies
- Certification in Red Hat OpenStack or equivalent
- Certification in VMWare suite of technologies
- Certification in CCNA and/or CCNP
