Job Description:
We are looking for a highly motivated individual with proven track records of external financial audit and supervisory/ managerial experience.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Advocate Professional Standards
- Leading and guiding the team with professional standards
- High level of professionalism when providing assurance services
- Analyse and provide resolution to ethical conflicts
- Lead Assurance Engagement
- Develop and manage engagement plan and resource
- Identify impact on the overall engagement plan arising from change in regulations and standards
- Evaluate the key risks in client’s business, and the impact on changes of business environment with relation to clients
- Review audit workpapers to ensure quality and compliance with relevant standards
- Apply professional scepticism and judgement throughout the engagement
- Deliver analytics-driven insights through technology
- Analyse resolutions to significant regulatory accounting and auditing issues
- Review information accompanying the financial statements in accordance with applicable standards
Clients Management
- Manage project timelines and client’s expectations
- Identify new ideas and business solutions to existing clients
- Support and develop client’s relationships
Engagement Team Management
- Provide support and guidance to team members
- Facilitate discussion of ideas
Position Requirements:
- Minimum bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
- Professional membership preferred (CA Singapore, ICAEW, ACCA, CPA)
- Minimum 5 years of audit experience in external financial audit
- Demonstrated technical abilities in select areas (SFRS, SSA, Singapore Companies Act)
- Good analytical, interpersonal, time management, research, and communications skills
- Must be able to effectively work with new and changing situations, where there may not always be a readily apparent solution
