JOB DESCRIPTION


Our company is seeking a highly motivated, self-starting professional with strong interpersonal skills and a deep understanding of asset management to support our growth in China. This position involves introducing the firm's family office services to Ultra High Net Worth Individuals (UHNIs) in China and developing a robust network of Chinese clients, particularly those with foreign assets. This role requires frequent travel to China, including extended stays in major cities like Shanghai, Beijing and other major cities. This role will report directly to the Chief Investment Officer.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Family Office Client Acquisition: Leverage your strong networking skills to introduce our family office services to UHNIs in China, establish a strong network of Chinese clients, and attract new clients with foreign assets.
  • Research and Business Development: Conduct thorough research on the demographic and attributes of Chinese clients' business and wealth management needs. Use this knowledge to shape and develop the firm's family office service offerings.
  • Advisory and Counsel: Provide strategic counsel to the firm's sales force and investment team on business and corporate practices related to China and Chinese clients. From time to time, provide insights on investment opportunities in China and advise the investment team on porfolio construction related to Chinese clients.

PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES

  • Candidate must have experience in senior management role, highly commercial, adept in technology, culturally exposed and business improvment/ reorganisation.
  • Proficency in both English and Mandarin is required.
  • Substantial international experience, preferably with a significant amount of time spent in China as an asset management professional.
  • Proven ability to motivate self and others, along with demonstrated leadership and people management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with a range of stakeholders, including UHNIs, sales force, and investment team members.
  • The ability to travel frequently and stay for extended periods in China.
  • A strong understanding of business and corporate practices in China. The candidate is expected to uphold high standards of conduct and behaviour in and outside the firm.
