Job Description:
• Develop and pitch story ideas to media to increase profile locally
• Prepare materials for media and external audiences including media invites, news releases, fact sheets, speeches, talking points for interviewees and FAQs
• Build and maintain relationships with local media, key influencers to enhance WH’s reputation
• Manage media requests and queries, including facilitating media interviews and tours
• Work with internal stakeholders to identify and develop interesting story ideas to be used for media pitches or at other public forums
• Develop content for a variety of public platforms – commentaries, thought leadership articles
• Support the team in managing the media during incidents/crises
• Monitor media coverage of healthcare-related news; prepare media coverage reports for management
• Plan and support internal stakeholders on events and other assigned projects including advice on event management, protocol for Guest-of-Honour and VIPs and liaison with external vendors
• Take charge of assigned administrative tasks (vendor management, procurement and documentation) related to the team’s functions
