They are looking for a for a creative, collaborative and proactive communications professional who has their finger on the pulse of popular culture and the regulatory environment and a passion for creating newsworthy campaigns that deliver positive social and traditional media buzz, ultimately helping drive company's reputation forward.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide reactive communications support in other parts of Southeast Asia, including but not limited to The Philippines, Singapore, and Vietnam.
- Build and execute key consumer and policy communication campaigns across SEA mainly Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia
- Work with local agencies on a day-to-day basis to develop and execute an extensive press office calendar for drumbeat news, encompassing data and trends-based localized press pitches, media fam trips and influencer-driven activations that drive positive coverage and social media buzz.
- Devise an extensive calendar of thought leadership and corporate speaking opportunities that showcases leadership bench strength across the region, ensuring the Country Manager and Policy Leads have strong share of voice across the travel, tech and regulatory sectors.
- Work closely with cross functional team stakeholders in SEA to support local business and policy priorities.
- Work with media, influencers, content creators and celebrities on opportunities to promote company product features.
- Translate global campaigns and launches into locally nuanced pitches that support company’s key business objectives in local markets across SEA.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with min 8+ years communications experience working in an agency, in-house communications, or a government communications role; preference to those with tech/ travel/publicly listed company experience.
- Experience working with and executing celebrity and influencer campaigns.
- Knowledge of the regulatory environment and industry landscape, and prior experience in managing policy communication for another tech/ hospitality brand
- Understanding of celebrity and influencer marketing and relevant market specific social media channels
- Able to produce quality work within tight deadlines, adjust quickly to changes in priorities, and keep positive and level-headed in stressful situations.
- Ability to work collaboratively with multi-functional leads in a matrix organization.
- Confident in leading meetings with external partners, senior stakeholders, and media contacts
- Self-starter who operates with an entrepreneurial mindset
- Strong writing and verbal communication skills in English; and exceptional interpersonal skills
