Key Tasks
- Efficient and smooth handling of [import/export] shipments - preparation of HBL/HAWB, Mbl/MAWB draft, manifest, billing, input costs, track & trace events, and pre-alert to overseas stations.
- Timely preparation of all related shipping supporting documentations with accuracy and efficiency [import/export] such as: Invoices, Packing list, B/L, AWB, C/O, L/C and other relevant shipping documents
- Coordinating [import/export] shipment with local & oversea customers, shipping agent, sub-contractor, port agents and truckers for on all import and export related transportation arrangement matters.
- Monitor daily [import/export] shipment/delivery requirements
- Maintaining latest customer contact to ensure quality service provided to customer
- Adhering continuous improvement procedure through best practice to increase competency level of sea freight related process to achieve performance, quality, compliance and service level growth
- Handling local & oversea Customer Enquiries
- Closing of P/L Statements within deadline
- Responsible for warehouse releasing / receiving and labeling
- Adhere to in-house customers’ requirements
- Assure proper information flow with sales on changes and/or problems with external customers, with specific focus on ocean freight concerns
- Ensure prompt and accurate declaration / information to carrier or co-loader
- Any other ad-hoc additional functions mandated by Management
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of freight forwarding experience
- Ocean Freight both Import and Export experience will be an advantage
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment
- Knowledge of Ocean Import/Export regulations and documents
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
- Exceptional customer service and follow up skills
- 5.5 days work week
