Reporting to Assistant General Manager, Feedstocks, this position is expected to support the procurement process and daily operation works to ensure supply continuity.
Responsibilities:
- Manage procurement process of petrochemical raw materials such as Propylene, Ethylene, Butene-1 and etc.
- Work with internal stakeholders to generate optimum allocation plans
- Determine procurement needs and ensure supply continuity to support daily operational works
- Maintain close working relationships with suppliers such as major oil and petrochemical companies and trading houses to ensure smooth pipeline, shipment delivery and cost controls
- Interact with suppliers and plant personnel to resolve supply/offtake issues
- Gather and analyze market information to forecast raw materials pricing data
- Support contract review and negotiations by reviewing contract drafts and provide recommendations where applicable
- Generate regular reports for sharing with stakeholders and prepare presentation materials for meetings whenever required
- Participate in new project discussion and execution
- Work with Headquarter functions for mutual information sharing
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or related discipline with at least 3 years of relevant experience in oil or chemical related industry preferred
- Self-motivated, resourceful, meticulous and ability to multi-task
- Possess strong planning, analytical and problem solving skills
- Good presentation, communication and negotiation skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Able to work overtime as and when required
