Job Description
As part of Sustainability Office that drives Social, Environmental, and Economic Sustainability in Gardens by the Bay (GB), you will be supporting the development and implementation of projects anchored by partnerships, engagement and education, to establish Gardens by the Bay as a beacon of Sustainability.
You will help achieve this by supporting the core missions of the Sustainability Office, to operationalise sustainability, keep the sustainability strategy relevant, position GB as a thought-leader and inspire action in staff and visitors.
Drawing from best practices, this role will require strengthening of the Gardens’ environmental data repository, developing and monitoring agreed carbon reduction pathways and targets towards Net Zero and reporting on the organisation's progress in supporting the national sustainability agenda mapped out in the Singapore Green Plan.
You will also participate in the engagement of internal and external stakeholders (e.g. staff, vendors, contractors, communities, public), develop partnerships and strengthen linkages with like-minded enterprises and associations, and collaborate with institutes of higher learning, companies and other organisations to pilot new technologies and innovative solutions to support the green economy.
Qualification
- Degree in Environmental Science / Management / Engineering, Life Sciences or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years of experience in sustainability or environment related fields
- Experience in carbon accounting, analysis and interpretation of datasets, and reporting of complex information to the management
- Experience in overseeing and monitoring sustainability initiatives across the organisation and conduct regular stakeholder engagements to drive successful outcomes
- Experience in development and implementation of a range of energy and carbon management projects is preferred
- Good understanding of sustainability reporting, green procurement, sustainability standards, certifications and awards
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with and/or influence people from different disciplines
- Good problem solving, critical thinking and analytical skills with a balanced sense of perspective
- Good report writing and presentation skills
