As a key member of their technology development team, you will report directly to the Chief Technology Officer (CTO). In this role, you will assume leadership responsibilities for a global team consisting of 4-5 members located in different regions. Your influence will be instrumental in ensuring the company’s products are well received by customers and ensure our customers’ long-term success by providing value-adding solutions.
Main Responsibilities:
- Lead a team, as well as performed hands-on, on occasion, in process qualification for our equipment during customer on-site installation
- Managed company process application lab in Singapore

- Manage and be responsible for leading the team in performing customer wafer demos to demonstrate Company process capabilities on customer wafers.
- Perform experiment and pilot production wafer runs with wet chemistries in the process applications lab.
- Optimise equipment and chemical process parameters using data collection and analysis techniques such as Design of Experiment (DOE), Total Process Control (TPC) and statistical analysis.
- Statistical analysis software such as JMP, Minitab, etc.
- Document, form and maintain process application library of equipment & wafer data as well as best-known recipes.
- Support the CTO on forming the Company’s process application roadmap and execute goals.
Other responsibilities include:
- Close work with design and development team in software, mechanical and electrical engineering to implement new hardware and software features; perform hands-on equipment installation & upgrade at process application lab.
- Equipment finetuning and adjustments.
- Work with the production & operations team to implement new equipment product roll-out and qualify chemistry process recipes and applications at internal sites as well as customers’ sites.
- Form creative ideas individually as well as in teams; work on research papers, publications and/or patents; prepare for technical conferences & symposiums.
- Support documentation technical editor for above as well as equipment documentation topics.
- Support the Company in equipment manufacturing and development proactively and if required.
- Support Company in sales & marketing, processing applications to customers both proactively and if required.
- Discussion with internal Company team and if necessary, external vendors on the application and requirement from the customer.
- Explore and develop new, novel process applications in wet etching and wet cleaning technologies
- Any other ad-hoc duties assigned by the Manager.
A hands-on hardware expert in industrial, technology or manufacturing equipment, well accustomed to working in a clean room environment handling wet chemicals, you should possess the following characteristics:
- Results-oriented, customer-centric, problem-solving and hands-on mentality.
- Good interpersonal skills, both on an individual and team basis.
- Highly motivated to execute a defined mission and strategy to achieve a pre-defined target.
- Experience working in an internal environment dealing with international staff and culture.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree graduates, preferably Master's degree, in chemical engineering, material science, mechatronics engineering or related field.
- Min 5 years relevant semiconductor industry experience.
- 3 years process application engineering experience in senior, advance, leading position.
- Strong communication skills – proficient in both written and spoken language; capable of producing written materials and delivering oral presentations.
- Well versed in using MS office.
