Qualification, Skill & Experience of the Contractor’s Personnel
· The Personnel should be nurturing and have a genuine interest in students’ well being. The Personnel is expected to have a positive work attitude and possess good interpersonal and communications skills. He/she should be a trained counsellor with relevant working experiences with children / youth.
The Personnel shall minimally have the following qualifications, skills and experience:
· Trained Counsellor / Social Worker / Psychologist / Para Counsellor with relevant professional counselling qualifications
· Experienced in designing, planning and facilitating group guidance programmes for students
· Competent in working with parents
· Preferably 3 years of working with primary school students, in the capacity of counselling in a school context.
Job Description for Personnel
The Personnel shall be competent to perform the following
· To provide counselling on an individual or group basis to students
· To do counselling casework which includes liaising with school management, teaching staff, parents, external agencies and external stakeholders
· To facilitate the necessary referrals to external agencies such as Reach Community Services and Family service Centres.
· To provide case consultations to school personnel and parents
· To ensure confidentiality and keep record all counselling work and case management as required by school and to provide school with report when necessary
· To support other Counsellors on running of the school programme
· To be part of a team to devise and deliver preventive programmes for students with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties
