BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER
Job Description:
The Business Development Manager (BDM) shall be proven, with remarkable ability to perform sales and develop business in South East Asia. The BDM shall have a sound knowledge of the business in South East Asia with strong networks within the industry. He/ She shall be responsible for identifying & screening new leads, developing new business opportunities and securing orders in the region. This is a permanent & full-time position with the company.
Responsibilities:
- Reports to the company Director
- Acts as the focal point of contact with customers
- Follows up on both our existing & new sales pipeline to generate new sales opportunities.
- Screens potential business leads, develops the opportunities, recommends suitable business strategies for securing new contracts from the selected opportunities
- Manages proposal process, including reviewing detailed RFP requirements, content creation, and inputs from various sources, guides the proposal & technical team in developing a suitable proposal that meets the customer requirements.
- Takes full ownership of the proposals from submission, clarification and final negotiation until a decision is made on the opportunity by the customer
- Manages customer expectations and maintains a solid relationship with key stakeholders to ensure that the bidding process is smooth from start until end.
- Shall be proactive in communicating suitable solutions to prospective clients.
- Shall attend conferences, meetings, and industry events as part of building customer network.
- Obtains market intelligence with current & future trends in the water/wastewater industry, customer needs, competitor info, and building a sales pipeline for short/medium/long term sales pipeline
- Minimum travel requirement shall be at least 40% of the time or as required.
Requirements:
• Degree/Diploma in Chemical/Environmental Engineering with a tertiary qualification in business management (added advantage).
• At least five (5) years of sales experience in water & wastewater treatment related industry
• Knowledge in membranes, ion exchange and biological wastewater treatment systems is required.
• Established networks with industrial customers, EPC companies and business partners in Water and Wastewater industry
• Experienced in securing water/wastewater treatment product and projects sales in
• Experience is BOOT/TOOT projects will be an added advantage.
• Successful track record in B2B sales and negotiation
• Adhere to Compliance, Integrity, Ethics, etc. policies of the Company
