Candidate with a law degree to assist with transactions and document management and other legal work.
Job responsibilities:
- To support fee earners in the drafting, amending, finalising of legal documents and letters.
- To proofread documents.
- To carry out legal research.
- To provide transaction closing support to fee earners.
- To liaise with various transaction parties.
- To manage timeline for each transaction and ensure smooth operation of the transaction.
- To provide post-closing support, including distribution of transaction documents and other document management tasks.
- Providing support on pre- and post-completion matters.
- Generally providing support and assistance to lawyers in relation to legal matters and transactions.
- Preferably with prior experience or knowledge of corporate, maritime, energy or natural resources sectors.
Job requirements:
- Have excellent writing, editing and presentation skills.
- Excellent knowledge of Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
- Clear and professional in both written and verbal communication. Note that fluency in English and business level Mandarin language skills (both written and oral) are essential.
- Highly organised and accurate with a high level of attention to detail.
- Professional and articulate.
- Enthusiastic, can-do, positive approach to tasks and situations, as well as requests for action outside normal scope of duties.
- Skilled in prioritising multiple tasks and able to remain calm and focussed under pressure.
- Ability to take personal responsibility, ownership and behave responsibly.
- Friendly, co-operative and approachable at all times.
