The Studio
The Outsource Studio is a Singapore-based international outsourcing company specialising in providing design, technical and operational support services to the interior design, architecture, and creative industries. The studio collaborates closely with a diverse clientele, including design companies, private clients, and developers, playing a vital role in advancing the creation of well-designed and inspiring spaces. With our extensive experience collaborating with operational teams and freelancers, we have honed our expertise in remote teamwork and effectively harnessing diverse skillsets to maximise the design process.
The Role
As an Interior Designer you will work closely with the Director to design and document the design, finishes, furniture and equipment for projects as well as work on visualizing spaces for internal and client review. At The Outsource Studio we believe that an Interior Designer must be someone who is creative, articulate, organised, and responsible with a keen to learn and expand their knowledge and skills.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborating with the team in the design conceptualisation and development of the project through hand sketches, SketchUp and Adobe Creative Suite tools
- Assisting the team with space planning and furniture layouts;
- Selecting finishes for review and use in project
- Assisting with project presentation materials such as boards, books, PowerPoints, and 3D mockups
- Assist in sub-consultant coordination as it pertains to interior design to maintain the integrity of the design intent
- Developing and maintaining vendor relationships to develop sources for project materials
- Assembling information from vendors and entering information into specification forms
- Documenting finishes on construction documents and specifications
- Other responsibilities as assigned
The Candidate
Requirements & Attributes:
- Minimum Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited Interior Design, Interior Architecture or Architecture Program.
- Any experience with a recognised award winning international interior design practice would be beneficial.
- Hand sketching skills
- AutoCAD 2015 (mandatory)
- SketchUp (mandatory)
- Enscape/vray or other rendering software
- Photoshop (mandatory)
- Adobe InDesign (mandatory)
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Must be Singapore based.
