The Position and Description
Founded in 2015 as Molyworks, Continuum is a sustainable metal recycling company, with locations across the United States and in Singapore. Creator of The Greyhound, a patented compact foundry revolutionizing metal manufacturing. The Greyhound eliminates reliance on external supply chains, and enables customized, controlled and internal circularity, unique to each manufacturer’s needs. Continuum deploys Greyhound technology globally to produce a wide variety of metal powders locally.
The Quality Control (QC) lab plays a crucial role in ensuring quality and consistency of incoming and outgoing materials. The successful candidate will manage the lab and quality assurance department for the Singapore plant. Some of the key job responsibilities include:
· Oversee day-to-day lab operations and ensure a laboratory operates smoothly by managing staff, reordering supplies, and maintaining all security protocols and documents.
· Own and update lab-related documents e.g., standard operating procedures (SOP), risk assessments, work instructions, laboratory records, etc. according to Singapore’s Environmental Health Safety and Quality (EHSQ) guidelines, other prevailing regulations, and industry standards.
· Perform laboratory maintenance, audit, and certification/accreditation.
· Identify, implement, and execute inspection, testing, and evaluation methods to ensure incoming materials, products, and production equipment adhere to quality standards.
· Lead quality projects including but not limited to facility certification (ISO9001).
· Develop quality control standard operating procedures.
· Provide technical support to operation and sales team.
Job requirement
· A bachelor’s degree in engineering, chemistry, or another related field.
· A minimum of 5 years of working experience as a lab manager and/or quality manager.
· Familiarity with quality standards and processes.
· Excellent attention to detail.
· Understanding of EHSQ and standard quality systems with respect to lab is a plus.
· Ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of management, both internally and externally.
· Proven analytical thinking and decision-making.
· Self-motivated, proactive, hands-on, and able to work autonomously.
· Fluent in English and a second language of choice.
