Job Description for Warden Service

Warden to be deployed one
(1) hour before DUS start time for cleaning and set up for DUS operation.
(2) To ensure that the access gate/ toilet/ changing facility is unlocked at least 15 minutes prior to the stipulated time for SportSG hirers and locked thereafter.
(3) To be responsible for the keys to the access gate/ toilet/ changing/ washing / indoor sports hall and DUS facility.
(4) To station at site or access gate and screen all people entering the gate, ensuring only SportSG approved groups are allowed to enter and play on the field inclusive of necessary entry requirements (such as SafeEntry and temperature taking during pandemic).
(5) To check on field playability and inform Team Leader immediately if field is not in playable condition. Field and weather conditions are to be recorded in field occurrence book at site.
(6) To prepare pitches including setting out corner flags and soccer nets and to keep the material at the store room at the end of shift duty or as per instruction given by the AO or AR.
(7) To stop hirers from using the pitches when they are not in playable condition and to immediately inform the Team Leader about the action taken. Field and weather conditions and exact time of rain-off are to be recorded in field occurrence book at site.
(8) To stop and check any unauthorized person from bringing out SportSG’s property from open fields.
(9) To stop and question any person behaving suspiciously and refer him to the Team leader if necessary.
(10) Enforce no one smokes on all DUS facilities.
(11) To ensure that no one is left inside the compound before switching off the lights in the toilet/changing of DUS facilities and locking the gate where applicable.
(12) Record any occurrence and take appropriate action if necessary and inform Supervisor or other authorities e.g. Police, Fire Service etc., when it requires their immediate attention.
(13) Maintain and keep stock inventory of all SportSG's equipment loaned to the Agency, if any, for the effective performance of the contract.
(14) Report any unusual occurrences to the Supervisor immediately.
(15) Respond and proceed to any Emergency/Fire/Burglary activation by contacting the relevant SportSG's officers where necessary and remain at the facility until the field responsible officer arrives.
(16) Check for any illegal dumping at the field or DUS facilities. If anyone is caught doing so, warden to record his particulars and inform the Team leader.
(17) Carry out any other relevant duties assigned by the AO or AR.
(18) Carry during duty hours a smartphone or mobile devices able to download communication Apps and receive information or verbal directives in regards to the services.
(19) Switch off all lights and turn off all water taps as soon as their work is completed.
(20) Visual inspection of PAD / AED on its serviceability and report to Supervisor immediately any faulty or tampered units.
(21) Record the usage of water and electricity meter readings before and after DUS operating hours
(22) Manage any other DUS related matters as instructed by the AO or AR.
