Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team. The accountant will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing, and analysing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in accounting principles and practices, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Job Scope
Accountant responsibilities are as follow:
- Manage and maintain accurate financial records, including general ledger entries, accounts payable and receivable, and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare and analyse financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Monitor and review financial transactions, ensuring adherence to accounting policies and procedures.
- Perform month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries and reconciliations.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate processing of financial information.
- Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support decision-making processes.
- Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulatory requirements, including tax filings and reporting.
- Stay updated on accounting principles, regulations, and industry trends.
- Assist with internal and external audits.
- Perform other accounting-related duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or equivalent certification is a plus.
- Proven work experience as an Accountant or in a similar role.
- Solid knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, particularly Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
