- Previous experience as a Head / Lead Baker, running a baking operation and overseeing other bakers
- As a Head / Lead baker you are responsible to produce a full range of breads using the company’s recipe specifications
- Responsible for the consistency and presentation of the products
- Ensure adherence to the quality of food items according to the Singapore Food Agency (SFA) guidelines in place. (e.g applying “First in First out!” kitchen best practice as well as ensuring food items are stored in perfect sanitary condition)
- Always observe and adhere to NEA standard for safety and hygiene standards for production, kitchen and culinary work area
- Ensure maintenance and sanitize baking utensils, tools and machinery
- Any other ad-hoc duties assigned by the immediate superior
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in a bakery setting
- Experience of handling bakery equipments
- Understanding of health and safety, and basic food hygiene practices
- Able to display leadership skills with excellent communication skills
- Excellent knowledge of managing order and inventory
- Able to multitask and work efficiently under pressure
- Be punctual and well disciplined
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Able to work night shift and split shift
- Must be able to work night shift and split shift
- Must be able to work extra hours or weekend if needed
