WSH Officer
Job Responsibilities:
- Implement a comprehensive Site Safety Management System to manage risks and reduce accidents;
- Implementation of workplace safety, health and environment programs and initiatives;
- Enforcement of safety standards in accordance with the Workplace Safety and Health Act;
- Conducting training programs on workplace safety and health and inspections to ensure that all staff and/or subcontractors onsite abide by policies and standards;
- Ensure strict compliance of procedures in statutory workplace, safety, health and environment requirements at sites and required premises;
- Implementation of effective safety management system, preventive measures as well as risk assessment to minimize accidents at the assigned workplace/site;
- Preparation and/or submission of safety reports and necessary audits;
- Assist the company in safety related certifications and awareness such as safety audits, meetings, and execution of safety programmes;
- Work with the assistance of your safety team of WSH coordinators and supervisors at the project site;
- Keeping up-to-date with industry best practices and regulatory changes in safety guidelines;
- Any other ad hoc duties assigned from time to time.
Job Requirements:
- Registered WSH Officer / Safety Officer with MOM for minimum 5 years;
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in WSH for building / construction industry;
- Possess a minimum Diploma in Environment, Health and Safety Management or related field;
- Excellent people management skills and good interpersonal skills.
