An instrumental role in articulating the functional needs and translating into IT solutions that will support the overall University goals, the incumbent will work closely with the various departments within the University to analyze and define user requirements, recommend and evaluate appropriate end-to-end IT solutions; manage projects and change implementation; as well as maintaining and supporting of the systems implemented.
Responsibilities:
Work with stakeholders to establish consensus on objectives, requirements and deliverables
Take lead to coordinate IT project delivery and working with external vendors or partners to establish
the desired and stipulated project priority and timeline to meet the business operationsManage IT Business relationships with various Schools, Departments and Research Centres
Identify IT business use cases to support revenue success
Identify opportunities to improve the efficiency of IT processes
Manage & lead the project team
Familiar with tendering process, drawing out tender paper, evaluating vendors, etc.
Vendor management ensuring SLA, IT policies, standards and SOP are complied with
Planning & monitoring of project schedule, budget and activities to ensure delivery in accordance to objectives, within timeline and budget.
Tracking and reporting of project progress, issues and risks to ensure deliverables are on track
Understanding business processes, identify business requirements and translate into functional specifications
Requirements:
A recognised degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline
Minimum 12 years of Information Technology experience in supporting and implementing IT systems
Keen appreciation of business needs and strong interest in business processes and process re-engineering
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to details
More than 10 years proven Industry experience in IT Project Management
Excellent organizational and leadership skills
Good written & verbal communication and presentation skills
Good leadership in managing project teams.
