The Office of Finance (OFIN) supports the University in planning and executing sound financial management in fulfillment of the University’s mission; implementing and maintaining a robust financial framework that supports management in effective decision-making; providing fiscal stewardship of University’s resources; and ensuring financial governance and compliance with regulatory requirements.
This role is deployed to School of Humanities and will report to the Finance Business Partner.
Responsibilities:
Understanding the current policies and procedures quickly to achieve process synchronization, enable auto coverage of duties with minimum downtime.
Providing timely advice for queries raised by stakeholders relating to Finance and Procurement
Monitoring of outstanding purchase orders in School to ensure its validity and is recent
Ensuring that requests and claims are in accordance with the University’s guidelines.
In-charge of School stationery inventory system such as purchases, distribution, and stock take.
Conducts asset sighting/ confirmation on a yearly basis for audit checks.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, yearly reports as required.
Assist with any ad-hoc duties as assigned
Requirements:
Diploma with minimum 3 years’ experience, preferably in accountancy
Ability to understand systems quickly
Adaptable, collaborative and patience
