NTU is seeking experienced and motivated individuals to join our dynamic team in Office of Development and Facilities Management. The department oversees the physical development and maintenance of all University buildings and grounds in support of the academic, research and administrative functions of the University. As the Assistant Manager, Facilities Maintenance (External Infrastructure), you are responsible for the management and maintenance of external infrastructure in the Campus to ensure they are safe to use and functional at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and supervise maintenance activities to ensure inspection programmes and preventive maintenance works for Campus’s external infrastructure and grounds are carried out as planned and in accordance with standards expected. Follow up promptly on corrective maintenance works to minimize downtime and maintain a safe environment.
Manage and supervise planned and corrective maintenance programmes for electronic directory boards and speed advisory signs to ensure systems are in good working condition.
Manage and supervise planned slope inspection programmes and analyze service report to pick up potential slope failure tell-tale sign and take quick remedial actions to mitigate.
Manage user’s request, understand the requirements, develop work proposals and estimate associated costs. Oversee procurement of services, supervise work progress and ensure materials and workmanship meet standards. Review and track site progress through meetings and inspections to meet user’s project completion timeline.
Identify improvement works, maintenance needs and cyclical maintenance programmes and derive budget required for new Financial Year.
Oversee other tasks assigned
Requirements:
Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent from a recognized tertiary institution with at least 5 years of relevant experience in the Civil Engineering Industry
Good knowledge in design, construction and maintenance of drain, road, culvert, linkways, slopes etc
Proficient with Microsoft Office, such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Self-motivated, positive working attitude and customer-oriented
Good oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work with different levels of people
