Research Analyst / Senior Analyst / Associate Research Fellow (Military Transformations Programme)
The S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies (RSIS), a Graduate School of Nanyang Technological University (NTU), is a leading research-intensive and teaching institution in strategic and international affairs and policy-oriented think tank in the Asia-Pacific region.
RSIS is seeking suitable candidates for the position of Research Analyst/Senior Analyst/Associate Research Fellow with the Military Transformations Programme. The successful applicant should have a research focus on key issues, trends, and developments in military-tech governance and responsible innovation of emerging technologies in defence. Research problems in this area may include mapping norm development trajectories, mechanisms, and dialogues on responsible innovation in defence, including in areas such as artificial intelligence, autonomous weapons systems, and contested domains such as space, underwater, and cyber. Moreover, projecting how select countries, militaries, tech-companies, and international organisations are implementing and operationalizing responsible defence innovation and why.
The successful applicant is also expected to contribute to the School’s multidisciplinary research agenda, contribute to team research and policy-oriented projects, and organise conferences and seminars. A relevant Master’s degree with a good publication record are essential requirements.
