Established in 1981, the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) https://www.ntu.edu.sg/eee is one of the founding Schools of the Nanyang Technological University. Built on a culture of excellence, the School is renowned for its high academic standards and research. It is one of the largest EEE schools in the world, with more than 130 faculty members and an enrolment of more than 4,000, of which about 1,000 are graduate students.
We invite applications for the position of Assistant Manager/Senior Assistant Manager, Laboratory Services. The incumbent shall provide technical excellence across multiple laboratories in the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering.
Key Responsibilities:
Laboratory Operations
Manage, plan, and coordinate facilities and equipment in the EEE laboratories.
Provide technical expertise on the facilities setup for existing/new research/joint industrial projects.
Develop engineering and technical guidance programs for maintenance and failure analysis of equipment and facilities.
Provide technical support for the renovation of EEE laboratories and the setup of research areas.
Safety & Training
Provide Engineering guidance in the safety system for EEE laboratories operation.
Develop emergency response plans and provide adequate training to handle research activity.
Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies for EEE laboratory safety, including inspections, audits, documentation, and reporting.
Develop training program and collaborative platform for knowledge sharing and information/idea exchange to fellow colleagues.
Formulate procedure to train stakeholders with different capability in utilizing power engineering equipment in the lab.
Requirement:
Degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering.
At least 5 years’ experience in Maintenance, Building Services, Facilities Management, Project Management.
Strong Technical Knowledge in Engineering discipline.
Understanding of laboratory operation, processes and procedure.
Prior knowledge in Workspace Safety. Licensed electrical worker (LEW) holder will be an advantage.
Self-motivated, able to coordinate works among different stakeholders, provide leadership support and ad-hoc responsibilities in a timely and professional manner.
