We are currently seeking a talented researcher to strengthen the biomanufacturing research activities at the Singapore Centre for 3D Printing (SC3DP), a centre of excellence in additive manufacturing, funded by the National Research Foundation (NRF), Singapore, and supported by Nanyang Technological University (NTU), the Economic Development Board (EDB) and Industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct research on the use of additive manufacturing for the fabrication of 3D bioprited pancreatic models
Develop suitable material formulations for 3D bioprinting of a pancreatic model
Design the pancreatic model for bioprinting considering relevant aspects such as innervation and vascularization
Support final year students, MSc and PhD students in their research activities
Help the principal investigator in management the laboratory and research activities
Identify, plan and prepare new research proposals to further develop this research domain
Job Requirements:
PhD in Mechanical Engineering
At least 2-year work experiences in the area of biomanufacturing
Expertise in biomaterial characterisation techniques
Knowledge on cell biology
Knowledge on additive manufacturing and the use of additive manufacturing for tissue engineering applications
Strong publication track record
Excellent written and oral communication skills in the English language is mandatory
