The Renaissance Engineering Programme (REP) is one of the key programmes under the NTU Premier Scholars Programmes (PSP) to nurture students as future leaders of industry. It is a broad-based, inter-disciplinary programme which integrates engineering, science, business, technology management and humanities and prepares students to be future-ready. Other than studying locally, students have the opportunity to spend the third year overseas at one of the renowned partner universities, with professional attachment.
The Senior Executive’s primary role is to provide administrative and operational support for the undergraduate academic and examination matters under the REP. The position will play a pivotal role in providing administrative support for overseas exchange to students including pre-departure matters, post exchange matters and professional attachment matters. The position is also required to support the annual admission interview exercise. In addition, the position will manage all the digital media activities such as website, social media, publicity, e-newsletters, e-brochure, videos and outreach activities. Other roles include driving student engagement activities, support the accreditation exercise and site visit and keeping track of the career of alumni.
Responsibilities:
Provide support for examination matters
Schedule examination timetable and invigilation duties to ensure that there is no clash
Ensure proper clearance of examination papers according to the procedures laid out by OAS
Liaise with REP Fellows on the submission of examination papers
Provide support to the Board of Examiners meeting and carry out analysis on examination results
Provide support for special examination cases
Handle examination appeal cases
Handle Dean’s List for each cohort
Monitor progress of weak students
Provide administrative support for the Overseas Exchange Programme
Assist with the administrative matters pertaining to pre-departure
Assist with course mapping for the different specialisations in overseas partner universities
Assist with post exchange support including credit transfer and surveys
Prepare statistical reports on student data.
Provide academic and administrative support to REP students
Assign supervisors for students’ professional attachment
Liaise with company supervisors for post attachment survey
Ensure the fulfillment of credits under the programme
Track and update student records and handle enquiries pertaining to professional attachment
Develop a digital media strategy for the programme
Assist with the editorial aspects of the website
Coordinate all social media strategies for the programme
Prepare a plan and pipeline activities to reach out to the different prospective applicants leading to the annual admission exercise and raise the branding of the programme
Assist with the various communication materials to reach out to alumni
Provide administrative support in the organising of student outreach events and engagement activities
Work closely with student/alumni ambassadors and relevant departments on external student outreach events and activities and university-wide outreach events
Assist with the various communication and publicity materials e.g, e-newsletters, e-brochures, videos
Assist with town halls planning for different cohorts and follow up on actions
Plan for academic mentoring initiatives every Semester
Drive suitable student engagement activities monthly
Secretariat support for department meetings
Provide administrative support for the annual admissions exercise
- Arrange admission interviews in the format of multiple mini-interview
- Prepare admission documents for the interview panel
- Engage the applicants post admission interviews and attend to their queriesProvide administrative support for the accreditation exercise
Ensure proper records of changes to the programme are well kept and update changes to the programme on a regular basis
Assist with the accreditation exercise and site visit
Prepare key statistical reports to meet the requirements of the accreditation exercise
Provide administrative support for alumni
Assist with the updating of alumni database and tracking of career of alumni
Requirements:
Recognised Degree in any discipline
At least 3 years of relevant working experience preferably in a tertiary institution
Prior experience in programme management and operations in an institute of higher learning would be an advantage
Good knowledge of IT skills in Microsoft applications
Strong analytical thinking and communication skills, both written and verbal
Good interpersonal skills with a genuine interest in interacting with students
Strong in contents management and marketing for social media and website
Good organisational skills and able to attend to details
