We are looking for seasoned professional in the dry bulk and/or project chartering industry to be based in Singapore ready to take on the role of ‘second in command’ within the Projects & Parceling division for the region. With ambitious plans to further grow the footprint in Asia, Norden’s Projects & parcelling team will have increased focus on new tradelines and markets as it moves forward.
Whilst you will still be an integral part of the day-to-day chartering team the key role will be to ensure the chartering desk runs smoothly, whilst assisting the ‘Head of Asia’ in managing the entire Asia Pacific Projects & Parcelling team consisting of about 17 staff across 5 countries.
The position is situated at NORDEN´s office in Singapore located at Suntec City.

The tasks that await you
- Establish and maintain external as well as internal relationships (customers, brokers, owners, internal stake holders etc.)
- Maximise earnings on own tonnage especially by parcelling voyages.
- Create direct value doing short term contracts, tonnage and cargoes.
- Develop Strategic trades to enable growth globally.
- Coordinate and position our fleet in close cooperation with your direct team and our global offices.
Your competences and core qualifications
As a person, you are outgoing and take pride in building good relationships with relevant stakeholders both internal and external. You are committed and able to work independently, while still prioritising the needs of the team before own agenda. It is energising for you to coordinating and specialise your communication to ensure an optimised workflow.
Apart from this you have:
- A minimum of 7-10 years relevant experience within Project/Dry Cargo Chartering, especially within the Handysize/MPP segments.
- Knowledge of SEDNA and IMOS are an advantage.
- A proven history within follow areas:
- Far East Markets
- Optimising earnings on tonnage and cargoes
- Key customer relationships
