Legal Counsel
Roles & Responsibilities
Primary Purpose of Role
This exciting role is to manage legal risk and ensure commercially focused, practical legal advice is provided across a scope of work, including corporate and commercial matters, to key stakeholders at all levels of seniority. The legal counsel will assist the business to proactively identify and respond to relevant legislative and regulatory change and advise on operational issues and strategic project work for the organisation.
This role will be based in Singapore and will be responsible for working with the General Counsel to assist key stakeholders across the business.
Key Accountabilities
· Assist in negotiating and reviewing a variety of commercial contracts with third parties from inception/renewal through to execution
· Offer strategic legal advice to stakeholders on a wide range of matters
· Providing corporate and corporate secretarial support
· Ensuring solid commercial management of litigation matters and legal briefs from the business with assistance from external legal panel of firms (where necessary), including appropriate escalation and reporting within the business
· Drafting new contract templates and implementing new processes for the organisation
· Provide advice on regulations that is relevant to the business
· Assisting with various corporate projects including sustainability reporting.

· Commercially astute and ability to manage competing priorities and competing deadlines
· Managing stakeholder expectations with an open and flexible approach to all stakeholders
· Ability to work autonomously with ability to escalate appropriately
· Strong contract, drafting and negotiation skills

Qualifications
· Law degree with 0-5 years PQE
· Strong appreciation for Kacific’s mission with a strong work ethic and desire to work in a dynamic, fast-paced and demanding environment essential.
