The Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Manager for Singapore will be responsible for leading EHS program, regulatory compliance, injury prevention, cultural transformation and environmental protection for AAC operations in. Additional responsibilities include process safety management supports and security system management
Responsibilities:
- Develop strategic and annual goals, objectives and programs towards injury prevention, regulatory compliance and cultural transformation
- Engage with HQ and Singapore Leadership Team on EHS programs, goals and objectives and provide active advice and support.
- Ensure company compliance with all applicable local/international regulatory requirements
- Engage Site Management Team in EHS matters and continuous improvement projects.
- Lead Incident Management Program, including investigation, performing data analysis to identify trends of incidents and areas to focus on improvement.
- Lead in Major Hazards Installation programs, hazard reviews, and start-up of new construction.
- Provide EHS oversight and support to site managers for major construction projects, including hazard review, operational readiness investigation (ORI), etc.
- Identify and support the development and provision of annual EHS Training for employees.
- Support site EHS in Business Continuity Planning (BCP).
- Managing sites Security personnel and support site program
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- BSc or MSc in environmental, health, safety or relevant scientific or engineering field
- At least 7 years’ EHS work experience in the chemical, electronic or pharmaceutical industry. Experience in a Semiconductor plant will be an advantage
- At least 3 years of experience in management role with start-up experience
- Strong knowledge of Singapore environmental, occupational safety and health regulations.
- Strong Process Safety knowledge at identifying, evaluating, and controlling hazards
- Strong leadership skills and qualities - able to communicate effectively in chinese with our stakeholders in China
- Good communication skills
- Registered Safety Officer
- Registered Fire Safety Manager
- Internal Auditor certification for ISO14001, ISO 14001, SS651 or similar accredited EHS management systems.
