Role Overview: As the Sales Manager, you will be responsible for driving sales growth in the maritime communication sector, with a specific focus on Indonesia and the Philippines. Leveraging your 3-5 years of sales experience in the maritime communication industry and a proven track record in the shipping sector, you will play a key role in expanding our customer base and establishing strong relationships with key stakeholders. Your knowledge of the satcom industry and expertise in managing accounts will be critical in achieving sales targets for our satcom products in the region.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Sales Strategy and Business Development:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy for South East Asia markets.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships, and customer prospects in the maritime communication industry.
- Conduct market research and analysis to stay abreast of industry trends and competitors' activities in the region.
2. Account Management:
- Manage and nurture existing customer accounts, building strong, long-lasting relationships with shipping companies and maritime operators.
- Understand customers' communication requirements and offer tailored satcom solutions to meet their specific needs.
- Provide outstanding customer service, ensuring customer satisfaction and retention.
3. Sales Achievement and Target Management:
- Meet and exceed sales targets, driving revenue growth for satcom products for vessels
- Prepare sales forecasts, track performance, and provide regular reports to senior management.
4. Market Awareness and Industry Networking:
- Stay updated with the latest trends, regulations, and developments in the maritime communication and satcom industries.
- Attend industry events, trade shows, and conferences to represent the company and network with potential customers and partners.
5. Team Collaboration:
- Collaborate with the marketing and product development teams to align sales strategies with company initiatives.
- Provide feedback and insights from the market to help improve existing products and develop new ones.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of successful sales experience in the maritime communication industry.
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets, particularly within the shipping sector.
- Specialization in the Indonesia and Philippines markets with a deep understanding of their unique dynamics.
- Knowledge of the satcom industry and its products is essential.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage accounts effectively and drive sales growth.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
- Proficiency in English and Mandarin; knowledge of local languages such as Bahasa is advantageous.
