Roles and Responsibilities
· Troubleshoot Windows Hardware and Software issues to resolution
· Perform system tuning, performance reports and root cause analysis
· Perform network troubleshooting to determine system or network related issues
· Implement local and SAN storage when required
· Handle server permission and implement strict security guidelines
· Perform moves - adds - changes – upgrades to Windows servers
· Create and implement Change Requests using standard Change Management processes
· Engage third party hardware and software vendors to resolve issues
· Perform patch updates to servers and able to rollback problematic patches.
Requirement and Skills
· Ability to set direction and prioritize work and resources based business and client needs
· Participate in Technology Road Map tracking and provide recommendations as needed
· Working experience with System X, Windows, VMWare vSphere 4 and 5, ESXi, vCenter, VMWare Clustering and Windows licence management with KMS.
Solid understanding of networking basics such as DVS, vSwitchs, routing, vlan tagging, - - Working experience on virtualization on System X including hyper threading, and resource virtualization
