A firmware engineer position is available at Respiree Pte Ltd. The purpose of this role is to develop firmware and/or software as part of a highly integrated custom embedded processing system used in products developed by Respiree.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop embedded software for new electronic products ranging from simple microcontroller-based solutions to highly complex embedded systems
- Develop software specifications based on requirements and collaborate with others to identify risk areas and evaluate alternatives or improvements
- Work with team members including hardware designers, software engineers to identify software related requirements or even system level requirements and develop corresponding embedded design strategies or architecture that meet those requirements
- Implement embedded code in accordance with defined requirements and/or specifications
- Establish software verification testing tools and methods and execute software testing activities
- Write technical documentation related to ideas, designs, specifications, instructions as per Respiree’s standards.
Requirements:
- Degree in Computer Science or Engineering or Physics with experience in embedded firmware development of 3-5 years
- Demonstrated skills in developing designs with C/C++ in embedded environments including bare-metal, multi-threaded RTOS and embedded operating systems
- Demonstrated skills in using integrations with interfaces such as I2C, SPI, UART, USB, BLE and WIFI based systems and modules etc.
- Specific experience with common microcontroller and or embedded processing platforms such as ARM Cortex-M STM32 and ESP32 chipset
- Strong understanding of software development tools and methodologies used in the context of embedded systems
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Familiarity with IOT will be a bonus
