Your Function
As Head of Finance, you will be responsible for leading and managing the finance function in DLL Singapore and Hong Kong. This includes financial control, business control, internal and external reporting, accounting, funding, and tax. You will also proactively advise the business leaders and ensure that we are financially in control. You will manage a small finance team and be part of the local management team. You will report to the Country Manager of DLL Singapore and Hong Kong.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will be: Plan, organize, co-ordinate and support the business in financial budgeting and forecasting processes.Proactively contribute to the development of a business strategy and business initiatives for the country as strategic business partner in the local team. Translate business objectives to short term and long-term plans for own department.Provide internal reports to country management and DLL Group finance concerning business performance and results.Analyse trends and root causes of changes.Report financial results to external stakeholders (customers, partners, auditors, regulators, tax authorities etc.) and provide analysis and detailed information if required.Support business leaders at country level with financial advice in order to improve business results on the short or longer term. This includes how to improve margins, lower risks and decrease operating costs.Ensure reliable and timely financial transaction processes where turnaround times for funding is a unique selling point for our partners, compliant with statutory requirements.Safeguard a sound financial and operational internal control environment.Organize and ensure compliance with corporate and external policies, laws and regulations, including local tax and accounting laws and DLL’s finance, control, tax and treasury policies.Plan, structure, organise, manage and control the assigned department, processes, staff and business partners, in line with corporate policies and company values.Perform Segregation of Duties controls and activities where given small size of the team you would be responsible for performance of such activities.
Your Profile Minimum 10 years of leasing or financing experienceStrong accounting and financial background with budget and cash flow management experienceUnderstanding of corporate governanceExcellent verbal and written communication skillsProblem solving skills and able to work independentlyPeople management experienceCA/CPA and other tertiary qualifications desirableCitizenship or permanent residency required (no EP sponsorships will be offered)
