Job Description & Requirements
The primary role of the Fuel Tanker-Transport Driver is to safely drive road tanker with a maximum 28,000 Litres hazmat liquid capacity. The Tanker driver loads fuel (Gasolines, Distillates, Liquid Petroleum Products, Lubricants). The Tanker driver safely transports the load to the designated customers location.
Job Description:-
- To operate the vehicle in a safe and responsible manner, respecting customers property, other (motorist) and the environment
- To agree to follow company policies & procedures, safety policies, environmental stewardship
- Efficiently perform vehicle pre/post trip inspection in accordance with Company requirements
- Maintain cleanliness of company owned vehicle
- Utilize onboard/portable electronic devise to receive dispatched orders and record deliveries
- Correctly Load product at various loading facilities), adhering to the policies & procedures of the loading facility
- Deliver bulk fuel or bulk lubricants to customers, verifying the load is correct
- Participate in safety meetings and training as directed by the company
Requirements:-
- Diploma or equivalent
- Class 4 driving Licence
- 2 years prior commercial driving experience required, fuel or hazmat tanker experience preferred
- Ability to work flexible hours, weekends, holidays
- Must have strong reading, computer, math, and verbal skills.
- Must demonstrate strong desire to provide excellent customer service
